Dr. Margaux French earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from
National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Becoming a
naturopathic physician was the natural culmination of her life-long interest in
understanding how the body works and how to optimize health on an individual
basis.
Dr. French recognizes that naturopathic medicine is more than simply an
approach to medicine that uses natural substances to treat disease. It is an
approach that aims to understand why an individual gets sick in the first place
and how that predisposition can be altered.
Dr. French sees patients of all ages with complaints of all kinds. She is particularly
interested in the treatment of digestive disorders, autoimmune diseases, pediatric
and adolescent conditions, disorders that have previously not responded to
conventional treatment, and approaches to weight loss. Dr. French specializes in
classical homeopathy.
She is licensed in the state of Oregon, as North Carolina does not currently have
licensing standards for naturopathic doctors. She is a member of the American
Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the North Carolina Association of
Naturopathic Physicians.
