Dr. Jade Teta, a native of North Carolina, grew up in Winston-Salem. He
completed his undergraduate training at North Carolina State University, earning a
bachelors of science in Biochemistry. Dr. Teta went on to study at Bastyr
University in Seattle, Washington, where he earned his doctorate in Naturopathic
Medicine. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Teta carries advanced
certifications, one in exercise from the American College of Sports Medicine
(ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor) and another as a Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning
Association. Dr. Teta is board certified and licensed in naturopathic medicine in
Washington State.
Dr. Teta is a co-founder of The Naturopathic Health Clinic of North Carolina
located in Winston-Salem, NC and is also CEO and co-founder of the holistic
fitness and lifestyle company Metabolic Effect, which specializes in group personal
fitness, health-care provider education, and online fitness solutions. He is also a
contributing lecturer to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Salem
College.
Dr. Teta has strong philosophical roots in the healing power of nature and views
food, exercise, and loving relationships as the most powerful medicines. He
recognizes each person’s unique genetic, metabolic, and psycho-spiritual
sensitivity and uses a functional medicine approach to find and remove obstacles
to healing.
Dr. Teta specializes in anti-aging, weight loss, therapeutic nutrition, exercise, and
functional medicine. He currently practices as a naturopathic doctor and
integrative health consultant serving, individuals, health care providers, and
corporations, and continues his love of exercise by working with individuals and
athletes as a doctor and personal trainer.
