Dr. Lidia Tomulet obtained her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine with a
certificate in homeopathy from the National College of Natural Medicine
(NCNM). In addition, she completed the New England School of Homeopathy
focusing on the clinical applications of classical homeopathy.
Growing up in Europe, Dr. Tomulet was exposed early on in life to naturopathic
and homeopathic medicine. She remembers harvesting wild herbs and flowers for
medicinary teas as a child, and learning about their powerful uses from her
grandmother.
Dr. Tomulet earned her bachelor degree in Psychology at Southern Methodist
University. Following her graduation, she dedicated herself to raising her two
children and volunteering in her congregation/community. Soon her love of
medicine beckoned her back and she began her studies at NCNM, the oldest of the
nationally accredited natural medicine schools.
Her rigorous five year education in naturopathic medicine together with her
personal experience as a mother, has allowed Dr. Tomulet to have a particular
understanding and compassion for children’s health. However, she is passionate
about assisting all members of the family achieve wellness and wholeness in the
way they eat, sleep, play, and live their lives. She is able to accomplish this by
offering comprehensive health consultations through Durham Natural Health.
Dr. Tomulet practices as the only board certified naturopathic doctor in Durham,
NC. She maintains a current license in the state of Oregon and is a member of the
American Association of Naturopathic Physicians as well as the North Carolina
Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Her goals are to make natural medicine
accessible to those who need it, to educate her patients and impart knowledge so
they can be in charge of their health, and to be a partner in her patient’s quest for
healthy living.
